The mission of the graduate nursing program, within the context of the College of Health Sciences, is to prepare professionals to respond to the health needs of individuals, families and groups in society. The curriculum of the graduate nursing program is intended to prepare professional nurses for advanced practice through enhanced clinical practice, research, and role expansion. The enhancement of clinical practice occurs through the expansion and refinement of knowledge and the testing of theory.
