Nearly 60 students from the UTEP School of Nursing put their skills into practice and raised awareness about diabetes, stroke and heart disease at the 7th annual Ferria De La Familia on Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center.

More than 9,000 people attended the Telemundo event, which featured fun family activities and a health fair organized by students in their final semester of the undergraduate nursing program at UTEP.
